About Nephew

We want local businesses to win in the age of AI.

For years, the businesses with the best online presence had the edge. AI has the potential to change that. Our mission is to help put the tech and marketing power of a Fortune 500 company behind every local business.

The gap we want to close

Running a great local business should not mean becoming an expert in marketing, tech, and AI. But you need to be great at all three to win in 2026.

A plumber should get to focus on plumbing. A dentist on patients. A salon owner on clients. Yet customers decide who to call based on websites, Google, reviews, ads, follow-up, and what ChatGPT says about the business.

AI can handle this online work faster, smarter, and for less money. But getting it right takes more than adding a chatbot. It needs the right data, tools, setup, checks, and cost controls, all working together and getting better over time. Without someone owning the result, a local business can waste a lot of time and money without gaining a single customer.

Nephew turns AI into more customers and more money. Our goal is simple: grow your business profitably and sustainably, without asking you to learn or do anything new.

Our mission

Nephew's goal is to become the Shopify for local businesses.

It takes more than asking ChatGPT. AI needs the right data, tools, setup, infrastructure, cost controls, monitoring, and evaluation. Every part has to work together as one system and get better over time. Without that system and someone owning the result from start to finish, a local business can waste a lot of time and money without seeing real benefits.

Our mission is to make that work invisible, so every local business can get the benefits of AI without becoming an AI expert.

About the founder

Why I chose to build Nephew.

I spent the last 10 years as a startup founder, building consumer, finance, software, and AI products used by more than one million people. Those companies did tens of millions of dollars in revenue and raised tens of millions in funding. I built a lot, learned a lot, and made plenty of mistakes. But one thing always bothered me: I could not always see or feel the impact those products had in the real world.

I first became interested in helping local businesses two years ago, when my dad started a senior living business. I saw first hand how different local businesses are from tech companies. Then earlier this year, I helped my sister-in-law start a massage business from scratch. That pulled me further down the local business rabbit hole.

In conversations with both of them and others over the past year, I kept saying, “You could use AI for that.” But what felt obvious to me felt foreign and out of reach to them. I knew from two years of building and using AI that doing it efficiently and profitably is extremely hard. Even the biggest companies are still figuring it out. How on earth are local businesses supposed to do it themselves?

I was already convinced that, if set up correctly, AI could completely transform the way local businesses operate. But most have no shot of getting there alone. I decided I wanted to help them get there and win in the age of AI. That is where the idea for Nephew was born.

Why the name?

Why Nephew?

For years, a local business that needed help with a website, Google, or social media might ask their tech-savvy nephew home from college.

The name felt right because we want Nephew to feel like family, not a tool, employee, or agency. Someone who cares, has your back, and is in it for the long run.

Our beliefs

What we believe.

Six ideas guide what we build, how we work, and the future we want to help create.

AI can transform local business.

Used well, AI can change how a local business works, serves customers, and grows.

Real results are hard.

Powerful AI is not enough. It takes the right setup, guidance, and cost control to turn AI into real profit.

Outcomes matter more than infrastructure.

Local businesses do not want more infrastructure to manage. They want more customers, more money, and less work.

The whole online side should work as one.

Nephew runs the full online side of a local business as one connected system, with every part working toward the same goal.

People and AI are better together.

AI brings speed and scale. People bring judgment and care. We use both to get better results and create better customer experiences.

Local businesses should be ready for what comes next.

AI and robots will change how work gets done. We will help local businesses benefit from that future, not fall behind.
